Pappy,

If you don't mind coming to Eastern Oregon, I'll take ya elk hunting , bear hunting, and cougar hunting. I was 10 yards from 2 cougars this last Wednesday while bowhunting. I couldn't see them, but I definitely heard them moving around me in the timber thicket. I thought it was an elk trying to find me, but when I saw the 2 sets of tracks on the old road I knew that I was being hunted as well...lol. I had the 1911 45 cocked and locked looking for a puddy tat after that :D

Early bear opened up yesterday morning... <GRIN>...

Never been much of a bear hunter, but I'm going to give it a whirl a few times this year.. hoping to double with my S&W .357 (deer/bear)..

Gotta get downstairs and get my honeypot finished up, lol..

well i suck:(

last night i watched a big ol buck enter the bean field with another nice buck a 7 doe's. it started raining real hard and they bedded down in the beans. i snuck thru the corn and then crawled on my belly thru the beans till i was within 30 yards. i whistled and when he stood up i hit him. we tracked him till 10 pm last night and then for 2 hours this morning with no success. blood trail but no deer:ermm:

I just got a wild boar last sat. there was a game ranch in northern michigan and they trashed the fence and over 150 of them got out, the DNR called my uncle ( friend ) and we headed up to the hunt. I shot a nice on running through the hard woods on a full run at 100 yards with my 45- 70 he didnt know waht hit em, He dressed out at 357 lbs, there are many more out there and the DNR wants them gone. We are going back up in the morning. They are easy to track just tough to catch up with, The funny thing about this is we are using our quads to run them back to us ( like dogs ) we can cover more ground and circle them around. There is one Male hog I seen at least 600 lbs and has 5-6 inch tusks, I WANT him on my wall. HeHe

Our bow season opens on Oct. 1st, and have been planning and ready since the last yr. season ended.
