View Full Version : Squeak In front end 400ex

need a little help here I have a loud squeak in the left side of my front end . It is loud enough to hear it when I am riding it and I have and e-series pipe. It sounds like it is coming from the a-arm black sealed covers. Any thoughts how to fix this would be great

Replace them or use wd-40.

take out the bolts that hold your shock on, grease, i repeat...GREASE them. then bolt em back on. if this dont work, try it on your a-arms also

use motor oil, its works great

Sounds like the bushings in your a-arms are squeaking.....and I believe stock Honda a-arms are sealed bushings? How do you grease those? I had the same problem, but bought aftermarket A-arms that have zerks.....so that issue is solved.

U gotta unbolt em.

Just dont use wd-40 or any other penetrating oil, it will eventually rot the bushings. Chain lube isn't good either.

You will be fine with silicone spray, any grease, or motor oil.

i have the same problem on my 300ex, exept i had a few sticks go through the rubber boots, and im still trying to find a way get some grease in there anyone have any ideas? i was thinking spray silicone with the little straw earlier i gotta buy some

have u been treckin through water lately??

you might need to grease your bushings and bearings and stuff up front
