Which is better for 400ex ? the crf carb our the yzf ? Why ?

Is your 400 stock? and I had the impression the there was only a 39 or 41:confused: I know the YZF is 39 and the CRF is 42.

i think he is talkin about the 40mm off of the bike. As for me, i love my 39mm, but if you can save a few buks and get the results, get the 40mm. Idk if it has the same performance though. Maybe someone can bak me up on this?

Yes I'm talking about the carb from the dirt bike servicehonda.com has it for $338 when a fcr is going for around 500 . I was just wondering what are the main differences and what all has to been done to convert it to fit and 400ex and use a thumb throttle. Does it peform better than the 39fcr used on the yzf our does it peform worse?

no the 40mm fcr comes off the honda crf 450

Thats what i'am trying to find out. I have heard someone tell me about using a honda rancher cable????

yeah i'm pretty sure its the rancher cable your sposed to use with the 40mm.

What if you use a twist grip does that make it any easier?
