well i sold the 300 today. sold it for 2700 which i think i did alright since it is a 97 and all. i have 3000 cash right now so i need to find either a 400 for 3000 or save up a couple hundred and buy a 400 for 32-3400

concrats man

with the new 450r out, youll see 400ex and 250rs almost given away! id wait till spring to get somthing, thats when you will see the best deals anyways, unless you plan on riding some this winter...

you have your heart set on the 400ex already?

ive seen some killer deals on modded out 250rs...
just think it over and make sure thats what you want,
im very happy i got a 250r over a 400ex, id take it any day...
if your a 4stroke fan go with the 400ex, IMO itll turn out like a 300ex, being sick of the lack of power and youll find yourself putting money into making it faster...

anyways, goodluck on what ever you get

thanks guys :) thanks alot for all the ideas tants. i hope to get something before winter because winter is big riding around here because mostly all the head people in the town(superviser ect) are snowmobilers and they welcome me to go riding with them and stuff. i definitly havnt decided on 400ex yet. i would love a nice 250r too. its pretty much going to depend on whatever good deal i find first. i know 400s and r's are going to be goin for real cheap and i have 3000 cash right now so i can save up a couple hundred and hopefully get something nice. any 250r riders, if i do end up getting an r how do they do in the snow if i put a set of maxxis 4 snows or tires like that on. i know 2 strokes like to spin but my freind rode his lt250 alot last winter and seemed to do alright with bald trail klaws. anybody ride their 250s in the winter?

ill keep you guys updated on what i find. THANKS

a 2stroke will be a 2stroke in the snow...

i wouldnt recondmend riding them in deep powdery smow, just hardpacked stuff or like soft snow on the road...

i wouldnt ride a 4stroke or a 2stroke in blizzard conditions, besides a 4x4

with some beefy tires, itll do just fine, youll just need to ride the clutch a lot to keep it in power... if you havent rode a 250r (or 2stroke) id deff ride one befor you go out and buy one. im glad i made the switch from 4strokes to 2strokes, i just love them...
some people hate em
just ride them both and see what fits you best,
what kind of riding do you plan on doing? if your just gonna trail ride and fust around, and ride in the winter, i say go with the 400
but if you plan on racing, ect, go w/ the R

anyways, goodluck on whatever you get

i think im just going to go wit a 400. i will be trail riding, play ridin. some snow, and racing later on so i can still do lots of mods before im old enough to race. i like the 4 stroke reliability and the smooth power too. thanks for the help tants
