no luck... no h.m for me... quad is screwed

well the whole rear of my quad just got screwed up... i took it for its 1st ride in a long time... probably a month... hit the 1st jump and when i landed the whole rear end came apart on me... the carrier snapped in half... looks like my axle is screwed up and my swing arm is cracked aroud it:(

i highly doubt i can make h.m now unless i find a whole rear to mount on it:(

jump wasn't big at all... mayb 15ft long... 2ft high... when i hit it shot me right over the bars...


i can move teh wheel over 6 inches thats how much play there is back there...


theres no possible way i can ever get it ready for h.m...

i just won't have the cash...:(

actually i jut replaced them not to long ago... i think it was last summer... they were startin to go again at rausch... but i was just waitin till winter to fix it... i didn't have the money...

c&d has a pretty good deal on rad bearing carriers. I have one, it works great. Even has a grease zerk on the side.

You better borrow some 20's or higher. It's so rocky down there, you will be buying a new swingarm if you tried it on 18's.


Glad your going, it will be well worth the trouble. Just don't ride like bradley and try and take a short cut down the mountain.

the brake rotor piece will not come off the axle... its stuck on the splines... myd ad just went to wal-mart or somewhere to find some brake away stuff... after that i'll know all parts i need and pappy will send me them... so far i def need a carrier... hopefully thats all...

I just replace my carrier this weekend - sort of a pain. Mine's been going for awhile, and when I saw this post and the pics it inspired me to take care of it so I wouldn't miss the trip. We just blasted the spines with WD-40 and my buddy pulled while I hit it with a rubber mallet and it finally gave.

Tammy they are 22's so a 14 tooth front sprocket is almost a must. I got one of them if ya wanna borrow it too...:o Do you have a good skidplate??

my carrier fell out in 4 pieces lmfao... there was no bearings or nothing wait till u see these pics its bad!!!!


i had to get the brake hub pressed off the axle... it was jammed on there:(
