does anybody know what parts you can pull off a 400ex or what might fit? i know its just come out, but i'm sure somebody on here has had access to one earlier than today.

I hope my Elkas will fit from my 400ex. The suspension travel is 2/10s of an inch more. If they will bolt on the 400ex may be sold with 450r shocks.

the frame, a-arms and swingarm look spot on... I'd be willing to guess lots of stuff will be easily swappable...

All the specs for the new bike are at hondaeast.com. You can do a side by side comparison with the soon to be sold or given to the wife 400EX. Wonder why yellow isn't an option. That yellow plastic saved me $ when I bought because nobody wanted it. Let's face it it is brown if you ride hard.

Any body in good with roll or some other part manufacture?
Some one should call to find out if the a-arms and shocks or interchangeable with the 400ex.

If the parts interchange these thing our going to show up at the track kicking *** a day after they come out!

I have to say thanks Honda, this new R is exactly what I have been praying for! The new R is every thing you need, without a bunch of fancy bull **** people will have to change anyway.

Sure the yamma is great but I weigh 230 so I would like to see how long it would take me to break it in to.

I think a lot of the stuff will be interchangable with the 400ex. Why make 2 diffrent swingarms and such, it would just make it cheaper for honda to build.

yeah i'm hoping what you guys said - i was thinking it looks really similar and i'm hoping my elka's i just bought for my 400 will switch right over with no problems - we'll see. if hoda was smart they should have made as many parts swappable as possible adn that would keep most 400ex racers from switching to the yfz and starting over from scratch building a race quad - since most of us don't have unlimited funds to do that every year.
