Not to rain on Timmy's parade but Daryl Rath was the first factory sponsored rider. He has been riding under a contract with factory Polaris for over a year.

very true but I think were talkin about the big dogs that sponsered riders back in the day of 3 wheelers and early intro quads..:cool: n But yes your correct..


Kawasaki has team green but I think they only sponsor the tractors not the "sport" side of the ATV's..:ermm:


What honda is doing for Timmy is huge news..because none of the top dogs have done it in many many moons....

Don't forget that the Cannondale/NACS team had a couple factory guys as well, but thier main guy Ben Jackson got hurt in a pre season practice crash. Tim defintely landed a big fish however. I hope he makes a TON of money.

I bet Darren Nacarrato can see this somehow.

well i guess it gives me something to shoot for at least,it just gives racers incentive if there good and that helps the sport grow, i know the chances of me ever making it pro are slim but at least if u can there is something to shoot for

i was reading about travis sapders deal on atv scene, and he got 500 a week salary and race bikes practice bikes and what not im sure tim wil get a even better deal beaing a honda rider

Speaking briefly with Baldwin he made the comment that Tim is making more $ than he ever has before or ever thought he would. Good for him, Congrats Tim you earned it and its a long time in comming...

good honda will bring quads maintstream in a year or 2 i bet, hopefully yamah gets into racing and doesnt ****** out same with suzuki and kawi, thenhave privateer teams without side sponsors:eek: it would be so awesome

i went to my dealer today and saw a file on it. it looks a lil rushed together, i don't like the openings near the tank and frt. fenders, kinda blaster, mixed with ds650...it made my knees hurt just lookin at it!!!!!! i hope my first impresion is not right!!!!!!! plus it may turn into more of an MX machine du to the lack of electric start!!!

I'm sure Yamaha will get into ATV racing. Most of the time companies wait till later in the year to announce something like this. I'm very suprised that Honda is gonna be backing Tim Farr. Nothing against him, just can't believe they are actually getting into quad racing. I think out of everyone, Tim Farr and Doug Gust deserve factory rides more than anyone. Hopefully it'll work out and the others will join in.

I think I saw a pic of Farr's 450. It was HIGHLY built up and had the factory Honda graphics, so I'm guessing it was Farr's. Nice looking quad, except the front end looks so fugly. They'll prolly have a aftermarket hood or something.

I'm glad you quad guys are finally getting some recognition.
