i have a dial-a-jet on my 400ex with stock needle and have had no problems whatesoever. I've went from hot climate to cold climate and everything in betweeen, with a turn of the dial, it's perfect. But make your own decision.

dont do it on a fcr. THese things are made for PEAK performance as is. If you screw w/ it, its bound to screw something up. Just get real good at jetting

I think it will work just fine. I don't think they are junk but when you install it you need to do some good engineering to make it look and work correct.:)
