Help me PLEASE!!!!

I lost both of my keys to my 400ex how do i get new ones, and what information do i need, off of my quad? IT is a 2001, so its not covered. Im lost with out my quad, i havent been able to ride in like a week, cause I dont know what to do!

i thought you could just bypass teh key?? maybe im wrong im not sure.

You can bypass the key. I could tell you the exact wires if it was a 250X, but somebody here has to know the 400EX.

I would say get your VIN off the quad, should be on the frame, and take that to your local Honda dealer. Alternatively, you could eliminate the switch from the wiring. I'm not sure about how to do that with the EX, it was a simple matter with my LT. Perhaps someone else with an EX can help you out if you want to go that route. It would make it easier to steal, probably better to get a new key from a dealer. Good luck! :)

if you wrote down your key number in the owners manual you can go to the dealer and get one.

oops... that's what I was suposed to do... :(

If nothing else, take the ignition apart and figure out the positive and negative wires... if you've reached that desperation level...:(
