View Full Version : Stock 300ex HP?

What is the stock HP of a 300ex? I say the 250x is 15HP and the 300ex is 17HP. My son says the 250x is 13HP and the 300ex is 14HP. Please help. LOL Oyea and the ATV Sport buyers guide says the 300ex has a 32mm carb on it and the manual says it has a 29mm carb. Which is it? I wanted to get my son a 32mm carb for his 300ex. I am having a cam,piston and springs installed soon. Would this 32mm carb work good with these mods? Will he still be able to run pump gas with the carb?

the 250x had around 15 and the 300ex has around 17. THe 93-98 had a 28 or 29 mm car while 98 and uphad a 32mm (not sure of the exact numbers but it's around there).

I knew I was right on the HP. But he has to see it from someone else. He just can't deal with the fact that Momma knows her quads. LOL
My sons 300ex is a 2003 and the manual is for the 2001-2003 and it says it has a 28mm carb. ????

Sorry bro, mommy knows her quads.

It defintely has a 32mm carb. I just looked on honda's website. I don't know why the manual says 28mm.
