Edelbrock Carb

what is it with these edelbrock carbs? are they made out of gold or something? what makes them so good. i keep hearing about them all the time in other posts and in signatures. is it worth getting one on a 400ex?

Search the forums for more info. Everyone I know runs the Keihen PWK 39 or 41.

The main thing about them is they don't have jets,,supposedly easy to dial in,,but the people I know that run them have said the opposite,,,I'd go with an FCR over the edelbrock or lectron,,which are basically the same. Also lecton's and edelbrocks are not a simple install,you gotta cock em to the side, cut the airboot,,relocate the airbox.

I'll be happy to do a review as soon as I get my EX back. I chose it because I like the idea of no jets, but if I wanted to get the most power out of a motor I whould go with a FCR.

And last I knew the edelbrock with thumb throttle was the hard one to install and the twist throttle was a lot easier. But on the thumb throttle if you were to use the throttle off of a warrior it would save a lot of work on installation (so I have heard).

i think edelbrock carb are not worth the money they are like $400. i would go with a 38mm keihin carb much cheaper but still gives you lots of power

FCR is a kehin carb. Its just the name of a style of carbs that they make.

take it from some one who knows....its dont start easy by any means.The only thing easy about ajusting is you dont have to mess with jets but i think i would rather mess with jets then turn this stupid little knob thats on the EB carb all day...And somtimes the wheele gets all burged up with dirt and **** and makes the quad rev higher than it should i would go with FCR by far dude dont even think twice about it.
