When i fire up my 02 400ex i am getting oil burn in my exhaust. between oil changes i dont notice any significant drop in oil levels, so its not burning alot. i mostly notice it when it sits for a long time, the longer it sits (say a week) and the more oil at start up. once it warms up no burn.
whats the heads up here. should i be looking for something or ignore it.
thanks
Sounds normal too me..:)

LMAO, thats Rico for ya... that SOB probably got lost somewhere during the move... :D
BTW, that sounds normal. your valve seals might be leaking a tad bit of oil into your cylinder over time... when you fire it up, that oil is burnt off. If you dont have significant oil loss & it doesnt smoke during normal riding, dont worry 'bout it. :D

what color smoke? I hear if it's black or gray or white, It could be exhaust needing repacked. Or carbon burning off. It it has a blue tint to it then it's oil. That's just what I heard though. I just got basically all my mods in my sig and now mine smokes. I don't know why yet. Still workin on it

its a bluish white, but you can smell the oil and see the smoke for about 30 secs then it clears up.

If it's only for 30 sec I wouldnt worry much.
But a 13t front?? even w/ 22's u gotta be revvin the piss outa that thing.
Just my .02 but this may be a early sign of rings going south.
Do a comp test just 2 make sure.
new rings cheaper than a bore & hone.
