First of all welcome to the site! Have you checked out Wayne National Forest? You can go to Ironton or Athens.

Almost forgot there's also Wellsville. Try a search in the where to ride forum for Ohio. You'll find more there.

There is plenty of good places to ride in Southern Ohio. The best being Wayne National Forest. Wayne has two basic riding areas: Monday creek area near Nelsonville and the Ironton area. I have only ridden on the Monday Creek trails. They are pretty good trails. Something for everyone from beginners to more advanced. Check out their webstite at : http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/wayne/ for all of the rules of riding there. Post again or pm me for more information.

You can also ride at the few public places that Ohio has to offer. Check them out at http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/forestry/Forests/forestlist.htm

You can ride in Perry State forest, Richland Furnace, Pike State Forest, and the Maumee State Forest (waste of time). I only have experience with Maumee (which is in the north), but I have heard that Perry is pretty good.

hook - this is Ryan, the guy with a red 400EX that rode up at Haspin with you back in the spring when your clutch spring broke. Me and Braff rode there last Saturday - it was a blast, you guys should have came down with us then.

Yep - he had it out last weekend, Kayrie rode the 400ex all day. I tried to talk him into getting a Cannondale, but he couldn't find a good deal on one and he got a good deal on the brand new predator. Is Scottie going to Bigrock with you guys?

My riding buddies and I grew up in the Logan/Athens area. We live all over Ohio now, but we still get together in Logan fairly often to hit the Dorr Run loop or Monday Creek of Wayne Nat'l Forrest. As posted earlier, Monday Creek is pretty easy riding. Especially now since they recently groomed everything. We were down there last weekend and found one of their 'dozers buried in 3' of mud! LOL! Dorr Run has also been recently groomed, but there are more challenging trails to be found there. Some of the side trails off Dorr Run are simply a PITA; you'd need a 4x4 to get through and even then you're still screwed.
