Will the shocks off a 250R fit on a 400EX? My buddy has a set of works shocks with rezzy's that he's wanting to sell me.

Yes they will fit.
They may fit but are they set up for your weight, setup and riding style?

Yes, they will fit. But even if they are valved for your weight, they will be a little stiffer. The reason why is because 250R's are lighter than a 400ex.

i believe the stroke is different when the shocks are set up for the R...
but for most riders you'll never notice it

No, the rears are totally different.
