#1 my shifter is stripped. im hoping its my shifter and not the shiftershaft. anyway, my shop around here probably dosnt have any in stock, and if they did, they would probably want like $100 dollars for a shifter(not really but you get it) would i get the better deal if i went to service honda to get it? i hear they are really quick
#2 since i wont be riding for a few days, i decided to take my 250 apart. well i took the plastic and tank off. what could i do to get that little extra umph? i already cut the end of my snorkle.
#3 whe i went riding a couple weeks ago, my 250 would stall when i went into the water:cuss: . my guess is there is an exposed wire somewhere causing this, any ideas?

thanks for the help

tj:muscle:

ps, i know this dosnt belong in this forum, it woudnt let me post in the powertrain forum:huh

my guess is that water was getting into your motor if you cut your snorkle.

take the snorkle off and put a plug there...then cut the top of the airbox lid off. then take the choke out. that helped my quad out a lil

Rejet it after you do those mods to to get all the power.

You may need to put dielectric grease on all your electrical connections including your plug wire.

Try Magic Racing or Dennis Kirk for a cheap shifter but make sure it isn't the shaft first.

You can also open up the airbox lid to get more air but you will need to rejet. A better filter and pipe also helps lots.
