Hey,
I have a le cannondale cannibal, it has the stock trail wolf tires on it. I want to replace them with the kenda klaw mx's, but I have a few questions first.
Do the klaws last fairly long for a mx tire?
The rear tires on my cannibal are 20 inches, if I use the 18 inch rear kenda klaw's, how much top end would I lose. Should I buy a rear sprocket with like 2 less teeth to compensate for it, or would the altered gearing be more suitable for motocross?

I need some help here asap, I am going to buy the tires in about 2 hours, and I need to know if I should buy a smaller rear sprocket.

Would I still be able to ride trails every once in awhile with the klaw mx tires? Or would I lose to much ground clearance?
Do they hold up well to punctures?

lol, I just thought of one more question.
Since the front klaw mx's are 1 inch shorter then stock and the rear klaw mx's are 2 inches shorter then stock, would that make my nerf bars or frame hit the ground when I bottom out?

yes you are going to loose ground clearance, and you will want to change your gearing, you will loose top speed and will be shifting more. keep in mind they are a 4 ply tire.

If I were to stick with stock gearing for just a little while do you think I would be ok? The track I ride at mostly is pretty tight and technical, I rarely leave 3rd gear. The stock speed on the cannibal is around 76mph, how many mph would I lose? Would I gain a considerable amount of accelaration with the lowered gearing?

You will probably gain some acceleration and be able to do second gear starts easier. you will probably loose 5or 6 mph not for sure though.

why don't you run the same gearing as a moto 440

i wish they werent 4 ply, how much heavier do they feel than the itp holeshots, size wise are they the same height as a 18 inch holeshot?

i was also thinking about there front tires because my frame bottoms with the 19 inch radials and they push and slide in mud

Would it have an adverse effect on handling if I kept my 20" rear trail wolfs on the cannibal and had 20" kenda klaw mx's on the front?
Do the front tires have to be larger than the rear tires for maximum performance?

would you lose roughly 5-6 mph changing from 22 - 20 inchers?
