View Full Version : Who stores their quad upright on the grab bar?

Does this hurt the battery in any way? Does it hurt anything else?:confused2

Hmm,,,I don't store mine like that, so I can help you there. As far as the battery goes, I think most are a gel type that won't leak if you store tham like that but I am not positive. My concerns would be that fuel might start to leak from the fuel cap (if there is a fairly full tank of gas) and mabey oil, if you have any leaks up around the top end.

a lot of quad shops around here store their quads like that because the show room is full, so im guessing it woulb be fine...:confused:

j-06,jwisniew and Zmon from here....had all our Quads on the grab bar and some1..(owner of quad) stand on the Bumper and i took the pictures....alos stood on mine....:D

While I don't store mine like that, when I clean it up for a competition, I will set it on the grab bar to clean the underside. Since I only do wheelie contests and stuff, it's important to keep it clean under there to impress people.

It won't hurt it at all by setting it up like that though. I have done it for an hour like that before just because I was checking everything out and went inside to eat something. The only thing you might wanna do out of just pure safety is when you let it down, pull the choke bout halfway out and let it sit a while to be sure you are getting oil to the cylinder. Not necessary but if you worry a bit, it wouldn't hurt to do it.

its fine. I have mine like that and its been about a month and its still up. Also when i was waiting on parts another time i had it like that for 2 months. It doesnt make a difference......I hope :devil:
