ok i have a k&n air filter , dyno jet kit with a 146 jet installed and i have the spark arrestor off and when i let off on the gas it back fires a little bit does that mean i need more fuel or what?

i think that meens your needing more fuel but I forget what you need to change, I'm also having that problem on my 416. It's not bad, just enough to annoy you.-darren

its ur fuel screw. Try bakkin it out in 1/4th turn increasements until that popping stops on decel. That shud stop that poppin;)

i bet that would help

i thought that if it backfired it was to rich; to much gas so the left over gas gets out and explodes outside the combustion chamber???

If its backfiring on deceleration it means your too lean, go up on the main jet. with what looks to be your mods 146 dyno jet I think is like the same as the stock kehin 148, try a 148 dyno or a 150, and ruin a 40 pilot. leave needle alone, just my .02
