The New Honda Countdown...

Not trying to ruffle more feathers on this subject but I was wondering if anyone had a clue as to when on the 10th of September will Honda be springing the news on us.

Remember a couple years ago when Honda had a timer on their website pertaining to the annoucement of 7 new rides. The timer was set for like midnight Eastern time and I waited up and about 30 minutes before midnight the timer was reset to show us at midnight Pacific time. I was in a holding pattern at the time waiting and hoping for a new sportquad.

I woke up the next day only to find some ugle scooters, a couple of watercraft and a utility named Rincon.

the rincon is tight. lol

250ex was realeased in 2001. I really dont think its taht bad of a quad either? :ermm:

250ex is pretty cool...its like a smaller & more tame 400ex...i wouldnt mind having one

I'm not saying its a bad quad I'm just saying that most of us were hoping for a new high performance quad especially since I remember them putting tease pics of the front disc brakes on their site before the release so naturally most of us thought 450 or 650ex and it turned out to be the 250ex.

Im not holding my breath and sure as heck am not staying up til midnight for some specs.

BTW, I wouldnt expect the quad to be on showroom floors til sometime in December, if that. The model at the show will probably be a prototype, not a production model at the time. :ermm:

Could go either way, but with the recent release of the new Yammie, Im sure Honda is going to push everything they can to get it on the floor...now that I think of it. :rolleyes:

i know everybody say there dealer say this and that. but i talked to my dealer today and he leaves tommorow for the show. and he said he will have a chance to order at the show. which means it'll be out shortly after the preview.

i wouldnt hold your breath it wouldnt suprise me to see honda hold it back for a couple months if it exists

Maybe it took them a while because they decided to go all out for once. Aluminum frame, Renthal Fat bars, Single cam to save weight like they did on the 04 CRF250, kick start w/ auto decompression, factory works coating in the shocks for smoother suspension, titanium foot pegs.... oh wait... we're talkin quads. Nevermind, that'll never happen.

With Yamaha coming out with there 450, I think Honda is trying to take some of the wind out of there SALES!! :p Even if Honda doesn't sell a quad till 2004, They will have people holding out to see if the TRX450r is better. Less sales for Yamaha.:confused2
