I have a dealership that is one of my clients, they have had the new F-150 as a parts truck for a few months now (promotional thing from Ford).... they look better than the older version... thats for sure!!

I agree. I see more "big ranger" than anything else.... I'm not a fan of the rear section (bed) area...

Eh, the front looks like that of my mom's 03 Expedition. Lame in my opinion. I like the Super Duty's looks though, my dad's 03 F250 is pretty nice. Still wish he had gotten the Hemi or Cummins Ram though :D

i think it looks like a big ranger. but anyway fords are junk.. no flame to anyone that has one. i just dont like them there too hard to work on, the older ones at least. they dont have alot of power. i just dont like ford.

Yea, I heard from a reliable source that a Dodge 2500 4 door 4x4 HEMI beat his 2000 Mits Eclipse GT V-6 in a big way! :eek: He was not too happy!:p

I just got my 2003 Ranger 4x4 w/ the 4.0 and the 5 speed manual. I can say, it got power. More @207hp than Crazy Honda's 4.3L s-10 @190hp.:p

You better check your source...LMFAO. The 2500 Dodge with a Hemi is not that fast at all. Actually my 99 Silverado will hand its arse to them. Now the 1500 Hemi is a good bit quicker, but I'm not sure how that would line up against an Eclipse. The 1500 w/ Hemi turns a 15.1 1/4 mile.


Nothing makes me laugh more about this "Hemi" than the people that praise it as the best engine ever. The chevy 6.0 out pulls it.... enough said.

ya the GM 6.0 is a kick *** motor. Plenty of balls and torque and many ways to make it even better wioth after market parts. Oh and as of the 4.3 chevy motor. Ya ok the 4.0 has a little more horsepower but the 4.3 has more torque and can be made to have way more horsepower. But anyways good luck with your 03' Ranger.

Yep 5.3 with a few minor mod's. If you see a 1500 hemi in a reg cab with a 6.5ft bed, dont do it...LOL.

My girlfriends Dad's Hemi is a sweet machine. I like driving the thing. Plus he uses it to pull a livestock trailer, so he knows it will work. It'll never stand up to my Dad's 03 SuperDuty 6.0 Diesel though. That truck is one awesome piece of machinery. It feels like it'd outrun my V6 stang. It probably wouldn't in a head to head drag race, but for a diesel to feel that quick is amazing. I found an F-350 dually online at fastdiesel.com that said with a superchip and injector upgrade it would run a 15.3 quarter mile. WOW.

The newer stock v-6 stangs are right under 200 horse. Add a blower and you'll run with the GT's no problem. But yeah, can't say that I would believe anyone with a 100 horse chip.

why on god's green earth would anyone buy a V6 Mustang then spend a few grand on a supercharger just to run with the GT's. :confused: I guess somethings in life I'll never understand...

sorry its not about the F150, but this is our new ford. '04 with the 6.0 engine. awesome torque. A huge difference between this and our '00 7.3.

You havent had your Injectors replaced yet? (true fix coming in January)


Btw, the new F150 has alot of good features they should of done 7 years ago. I designed the service tools for the new 5.4L 3v engine, and I will say it does run very well!

I agree with you. I bought a V6 because I purchased it new when I was a senior in high school. There's no way I could have been able to afford a GT, or the insurance for it. The main reason I wanted this car is to have something that got better gas mileage than the 96 F-150 that I had before it. I paid around 3K less than list price for it, and thats about 8K less than a new GT at the time.

I also have a question though. Why do people buy little quads and try to make them run with the big boys. It's just human nature to want to be the best. I admit, sometimes I wish I could pull up next to a GT with my stang, blow his doors off and surprise the crap out of him. But that's not what I bought this car for.

I used to have a GLHS (turbocharged Omni) that ran 12.50@110 MPH. I used to love finding Gt's out crusing just to laugh at when i would smoke them bad! Sold the car after Wayne County passed a new law. Get caught street racing and you loose your car for good!

Since we gots a big ford plant here and they produce the F-150 and some other little SUV there is a huge lot and it has to have ove 1000 brand new f-150's in it. IT makes me drool.
