please help

my 400ex has blown oil out through the air filter and it smells like burnt oil also it wont start if anyone can help me out please do thank you email at bbrashear@alltel.net

What was the problem? :confused: Have you figured it out? Good luck, if you haven't yet! My friend had a similar problem, only with a blaster, never heard of that happening with a 400 ex though! :ermm: Good luck man!

well, have you done anything to the engine? if oil is coming through your intake then your timing is probably off, or you might just need a valve adjustment really bad, that might be why it doesn't start when you crank it, because if your timing is off, or your valves are not "timed" correctly, the cylinder won't be getting any power from the gas exploding at the right time and if your valves are staying open a little, ect... then you could also get oil in your intake, same with timing if you are burning some oil and your spark plug fires when the intake valve is open then the burnt oil will go into the intake and then of course your air filter

mine used to do that before i had the valves adjusted. try the valves
