250x axle swap

I have a 250x with a wiped out axle the guy who had it before me welded the hubs and the axle nut. and to change the wiped out bearing i had to cut all the old welds. anyway, my question is , i have a 400ex with a stock axle and hubs id rather by an after marklet axle and hubs for the 400 and use the stock one in my trx250x is it possible. when you get the axle bearings their all the same size 400ex,300ex, & 250x. help ???????????

won't work. You may get the axle in teh carrier..ok..but now nothing lines up (chain/brake disc) and it'll actually be offset in your 250 if you take the axle out of your 400.
