Will it keep Up?

Hey, I think I am goung to buy a 400ex really soon, I was wondering what would it take to just keep up with my friend on his raptor? He's got pipes, jets, filter, and some other small things like that. I just don't want to be lost in his dust. what would a 400ex need to stay close? thanks.

Well in a drag race he is going to kill you unless you get a big bore like a 440. But in the woods on trail or a MX track he will be eating your dust (thats if you can ride).......:D

Me and the Ol' 416 passed many a Craptor.The 400 out classes the raptor in every catagory except displacement.Mod it a bit and you will have no problems.

On tight trails my brothers piped & jetted raptor & my "EX" are very close....but on a drag race he kills me.... :(

drag race the raptor but woods or track you will win of your good...that & the raptors tend to fall apart so wait untill then.:rolleyes:

lol that was the first funny thing uve posted. but i one of my friends had a ct built 416 piped jetted all kinda crap and he said it would kill raptors is this true??

on a mx track or on tight wooded trails the 400ex shines all over the raptor.. the raptors are good for straight lines..

A good set of shocks will let you stay on the gas more especially in the woods.:macho

Thanks guy's. We mostly ride trails, and I am a pretty good rider so I should at least be able to keep up then. We don't drag race that ofen anyway. My dad wants me to get a raptor, but first off, I can't afford one unless he helps pay for it, and I told him if anthing breaks, he shoudl have to pay for it!

in a drag you might get 3-4 quad lenths behind but a fue modds

I've never had a problem keepin up with 250r's, so a raptor shouldn't be a problem for you.
