View Full Version : Picked up a new quad

Friday I get stuck going to lunch with my wife and mother in law and came home with a YFZ450:D

I took a look at one right after lunch and was quite suprised in how much Yamaha put into it and the things that they took into consideration. I put a good 8 hrs on it break in this weekend and it definitly lives up to the expectation.

I am slowly working on the following changes: relocating the rear brake rezzy, aluminum fender brackets, trimming the stem stops, and changing out the exhaust cam:devious:

Is the Dale gone already? I give the YFZ two months..LOL. I think you and Pappy need to have a contest to see who can own the hiighest number of different quads in one calendar year...

Yes the Dale is gone.

Just think of it as MD seeing it's fare share of a variety of Quads:D

No offence, but why didnt you wait a couple more weeks for a HONDA?:confused: Or just to see what it going to be....:ermm:

read the new dirtwheels, they even say in the motor departmant honda cant get more outta that engine then the yfz, they said honda would be lucky to even come to par with the yfz.. :scary: NO FLAME WAR INTENDED.. just read dirtwheels even though they dont know jack S$$$

I am not doubting the honda. I have owned 2 this year. 1 full race ready and the other just for fun as well as a Speed. But my suggestion is spend a half hour or more looking the YFZ over before doubting it. I liked the quad alot and if you are good with certain things you can raise the bar with the quad without even spending $100.
