kick start 400 ???

is it possible to put a kick starter on a 400 and if so, how

also is it bad to start your engine in first gear with the clutch pulled in

don't know about the kick starter, it's probably been discussed before just do a search.

it's not bad to do it, just that it drags the clutch that way so it may use a little more to start it

making the 400ex a kicker, is very possible. all u need is the clutch cover from a xr400, and all the internal kicker stuff. but, it may not actually work in the frame, unless u modify stuff. if u look, where the kicker would come out, thats directly inline to the rear brake lever. im sure with some moddin (either some kind of thing to raise the kicker up, which i have seen on a crf450 powered quad, or the brake lever), anything is possible. but would it be worth it? isnt it nice to be able to just push a button when u stall?
