just got off the phone with logan state park. We still have 3 sties reserved.. tryed to get the sites were we were last time reserved too. but they can't really say they are ours till we get there.. Just look for signs that say exriders on them..that's us....:D

Someone was telling me that from Lexington its quicker going down thru Pikeville (mountain parkway to 23) and on over into West Virginia, has anybody went that way before?

Today I just got word I have a client moving into their new building... Their computer network needs to be online Monday 29th @ 8am. I cant move their computer equipment and servers until Saturday morning (the 27th) because they need to have it working in their old building, Friday the 26th. So I'm basically ****'d. :grr: :mad:

Havent hit up many bars down there but Rolling Thunder Xtreme Park is a nice place to go. I believe Sat. night is drag race night. We had a blast sitting there eating, drinking and watching fowheelas haul arse:DOh yea and Rico's ****** works there hehe

And if you hit Waterways definitely let Motoman know, he knows the best trails there and likes to let er rip:D

I am not real sure how far away Man is from the Waterways Trailhead. I feel safe to say that it is no more than an hour or less. Taco, correct me if I'm wrong but I think all four trailheads are within an hour or so of each other. I do know you will have to trailer your quads though. Saturday the 20th sounds great to me. Just let me know what time. Taco??? K2's going to the beach that week so he would be out.

Man is a good solid 45 minutes south of waterways. Worth the drive to waterways though. I HIGHLY recommend makin the road trip. Bearwallow is about 15 minutes north of man and lots of fun.

Ps..you guys are probably goin down thru charlseton on 119 to logan. You'll pass waterways trailhead on the way there about 20 minutes south of charlston..


Rockhouse is fun and fast but the 5 miles of water puddles,,not really mud but water puddles sucks major MAJOR ***. 2nd gear half throttle is *** fast as you can go thru this chit...:mad:

Make sure to go to rollin thunder..you'll pass it on the way to man on your way down... can't miss the mofo..look for the mountainside cleared out for the hillclimb. Tell my ****** i said hi..:ermm:

We actually planned this trip with a group that usually ride at Wayne National Forest. We planned this trip at the ATVTime forum site. We had to plan it based on everyone in our groups availability. Maybe next year some of us can make it down to one of your HM rides.

If this is your first time, the black trails are no joke. If your not one hell of a good rider, stay off them.

Other than that, this will be the best riding you'll ever have, if you trail ride.

Xandada has ridden Wayne I believe and I think he will say Hatfield is 10x's better.

Exactly...the ground is packed down to hard for there to be mud...just lots and lots and lots and lots of water puddles. Some are 1 inch deep some are 6...just hammer down and lean back and hope for the best....:blah:

When I was there, we just gave it hell and went as fast as we could over the puddles. We skipped across them hoping that there weren't any large rocks under the surface of the water. This is the best way to go b/c you don't get wet.

The people in the campground are loud and annoying. They start there quads in the middle of the night and race there engines.

Quick question for everyone comin on this trip. This is my first one and I'm a big ole fat guy that needs alot of food and drink. Does everyone bring their own food and cook their own food or is this like a group effort with one person doing the cooking and everyone chips in on the food??? Just tryin to get my chit togetter and see what I need to bring. Man can't survive on beer alone, or can he???

Everyone usually brings there own food. There are a few fast food places, close by.

I suggust going to the walmart and just buy your food there. Less stuff to lug in the car, and you don't have to waste the ice on the trip down.

is there alot of deep water crossings???? i need to know so i can figure out how to get a airbox cover on it... i run a open airbox and i'll be in trouble... i'm worried about runnin the open box down there...

there arent many deep water crossings usually....but a lid is really needed. i have one if you need it.

there are rocks the size of small cars in some sections...dont be skeert:devil: if you hung with me at rausch in the rock garden in 18 inch turf tamers...you will have no problem on the tires you will be running there

Ask XANDADA if you can make it without an air box lid:D There might not be alot of "deep" water but there is alot of wet water and after 2 days of riding your scooter will be begging for a lid.I would not suggest race cut fenders either.

Definately need a lid cause my open top box didn't stop nothin even with an outerwears filter duct taped on. Full fenders, goggles, and plenty of dry clean clothes are a must too...
