Well I did it...got it from Sparks

Well I finally did it...bought an FCR 41 from sparks...and had it converted to alky..:D

Wow, what a difference...This thing is a monster...If i get some extra cash I think that I am going to get a longer swingarm than I have already...then a sparks pipe...

There was a little unorganized drag race at a guys house like a mile from my house. I won hands down against everything...piped and ported 'shees, a piped raptor, and a piped LT500, everyone else there was scared to race me..:D

I might even get another wild hair and get a 465 sleeve and piston from sparks...then I could be another TrX465 :macho

i can't even imagine that... my little mod 406 scares the :devil home out of me at times... i can't imagine a 465 on alcohol... i want to ride one of those some day see whats its like... just wondering what do they do to carbs to make them run alcohol...

They add 21 years to the manufacturer's date so it will be of legal age..:D

Did Sparks do the Alcohol mod for you. The guy that answers the phone said Curtis didn't have time to do the alcohol mod to the FCR41 that I bought from them. Man, I've spent some cash with these folks too.

No, actually I didnt have them do it, because they said they wouldnt do it. I did it at FTZ (I think) or the same place wyndzer did his...im still trying to work out the jetting, though..

FTZ is where I bought a alcohol carb and fuel pump for my Polaris. I'm planning on letting them do the alky mods to the FCR41. How quick did FTZ get your carb back to you? Did you notice a big increase of power? I can't wait to get my motor back. I'm calling my builder tonight to see if he has started on it yet.

I just had sparks send it to FTZ to have it done. So I dont really know how long it took for them to do it. PM Wyndzer, he will probably know. I would say I have a solid 8 horse gain right now, and I dont quite have it dialed in yet, I dont think. Once I get it dialed in correctly, I will see about getting it dynoed...

You honestly beat a Lt500 Quadzilla???? My friend has one of those and its a rocket. It's geared for low end torque because the guy loves more torque and it still goes over 100 mph. Thats dang good if you can mod a 400ex to beat a 500 2 stroke. I guess I'll believe it when I see it.
