well considering you have a 400ex too. Why dont you try it. I am sure it can be made to fit, but that will need some custom fabrication. I tried to put 400ex nerfs on my R, but I figure its not worth the hassle. I will just sell them, and buy a set made for the R.

I don't see why you would want to go through the hassell of putting banshee nerfs on a 400....just save up some money and get the right pair. Just look at the nerfs, maybe do a little measureing and you should be able to tell if they will fit or not.

i have dg nerfs from a banshee on my 250ex. they are kind of sketch but they work fine
