desert cut fenders

i live in the desert and if i cut mu fenders, would i be hit a lot with debris and rock etc?

talkin about your front fender's.?..
nah man..only thing that will fly back and hit you will be watter mud and wet sand......but your in the desert so no water to make any of those possible.....
..or rear fender's......same as above....when the wheels turn over and spin (with paddles) it'll shoot the sand streight up and back....very little will come forwards.....chop em' off

search for topics with words like..."fenders" shaved fenders" cut fender" and "plastic".....this question's been asked about a billion times so......everyone's opinion about it in here somewhere.....

The shaved fenders will not let anymore debri hit you than the unshaved. I race harescrambles in in some pretty nasty conditions with shaved fenders and haven't ever had a problem. Most of the debri will hit your boots when in motion anyways. The reason I shaved mine to see the front tires in the tight woods sections not to clip trees, rocks, roots,etc. It also helps if you do a lot of big jumps to keep from parachuting you over backwards.
