my 300ex broke about 3 weeks ago--- i was riding a wheelie from 2nd and went to 3rd, and had been goin for a lil while, then the rear wheels locked up, and it slammed me down on all 4 tires. then when i hit the start button, all it does is make a loud clack noise.:confused: What could have happend??? We are just now starting to look at it because we didnt have time b4. We just finished redoing to whole head, and put new rings on the piston, now its broke again.

well my friend...you locked your motor up....:( did you break it in right and everything? oil? tear the top end down. mine did the same thing when i broke a valve :o

Pvt maggot, did u just get ur blazer, my friend just got rid of his, and it sounds alike but prob not, what color is urs:confused: Just curious:devil:

The only way to find out the total damage is to open up the motor. We can guess all day what is damaged, but the truth will be told when the head comes off...

You sure you had enough oil into it?

it was filled with oil, and when we open the motor, do we take the head and cylinder off first, or the clutch side case??

My guess is that you were low on oil, were in a wheelie so the oil was all the way in the back of the motor so that when the piston went down it didn't have enough oil to pick up to lubricate the cylinder walls. WAMO..you seized your piston. No biggie, time to bore it out and a new piston and rings.

Open it up and see what happened.

i think i was low on oil.... but, do u think thats all it needs?? because if we have it bored out, then i am going to bore it all the way out- 80 over. and get a wiseco 11:1 piston. :D . i feel bad about calling my 300 is POS, when i was more than likely my fault...
