Tina,
Get ya a service manual, if you don't already have one, and jump right in. I tore mine down in about 4-5 hours, but I was taking my time. I labeled a bunch of plastic cups to put the fasteners in, body, front sus, rear sus, motor etc. Just keep everything organized at it will be a lot easier than you think.;)

I like women with "extra" parts.
I'm sure it would go smooth. The service manual is pretty outstanding for putting it back together, as long as you can read. Even if you can't, it's got pictures.:D The ziploc will work good to. I used cups and told the little ones that daddy's garage downstairs was off limits, the bikes and toys go upstairs in mommy's garage. The video might be a bit much, but maybe for the parts that you're not totally comfortable with.

Ive wanted a PC job done for ALONG TIME now....supposedly we have a guy locally that is good with PC. Ill have to get with him and see what he charges. The Predator needs a PC job REALLY bad, so I may have it done first. I would like to have mine done after racing season is over..:)

Awsome QJ. Its not hard at all! I had basicly my whole EX apart this winter, first time I ever had a quad apart. THe only thing that didnt come off was the engine and front plastics... Just make sure you keep things together, and put bolts back where they go if you can, makes it a lot easier in the end.

i tore mine down one night. it took me and my buddy about 5 hours to do it. i got a tackle box and a lil bin with alot of trays made for nails and screws and stuff where i put my parts in and label them. with 2 people working most of the time one of you will remember where the part goes

i just finished taking my R down to the frame and rebuilding it. it took me about 1 week (school and work) to take it down, and over the course of 3 months i got it back together, only because of wait on parts and other problems that you find on a 17 year old quad. you should have no problem taking it down and rebuilding it, and what i did is went on ebay and bought a 421 piece stainless steel bolt kit, and had almost every bolt on the bike in stainless steel and w/ allen heards, rather than bolts heads, so it looks real trick. everything was labelled and i knew where everything went, and i have some extra bolts, but that was because he gave me extra bolts incase some broke, i had to tap new threads, etc. good lcuk, and you learn a lot, and its fun!

Once you get the whole thing done, put on a bikini that matches the orange and get some pictures.

Try to get a few of the quad also.
