Hello, new guy to the forum.

I own a company that builds and sells Stainless Steel skidplates for ATV's. The name of the compny is Badger Racing Products and we have been working with Chad Duvall for about a year and a half with some great results. We just started working with William Yokley and hope things go just as good there as well.

If you get a chance look me up at Taylortown, PA at the next GNCC, I would love to meet anyone who owns a 400EX who might be in the market for a new skidplate and belly for their ride. Stop by Chad Duvall's rig and ask for me. I'll be hanging with Scott Summers on Sunday if you're going to be there for the bikes as well.

Be Cool.......

Here are the pictures you guys asked for, thanks for the intrest. Chad Duvall has run this exact skid and belly pan for almost two years with great results. He is able to run Badger plates for numerous races and practices with out having to get the hammer out. In the past he had big problems with skids bending and having to hammer them back into shape.

Skids are 11 ga (.120") 304 S.S. and cost $****, belly pans are 16 ga. (.062") and cost $****. I don't know of anyone producing S.S. belly pans but I could be wrong.

Give me a call or email and I bring them to the next GNCC and save the shipping cost.

Look nice :) Any pics of them after they have been used and abused? Can they be made with custom cut outs other than Duvall? No offense to Chad, just curious.....

Sorry, no custom ones yet. I'd like to do that in the future but as things sit I'm just making them all the same. Check back with me in a month or two and I'll see what I can do. I've made a few really trick looking ones for close friends but haven't advertised that I can do it. They could very expensive to produce, but if people are willing to pay I guess I should look into it. The price would go up around twenty percent.

Maybe in a few months I'll show you what I have made for Scott Summers to run on his bike. It's kind of top secret but I hope to show everyone by the end of the year.

Drop me a line and let me know what kind of ideas you may have for a custom.

Be Cool.....

Can you add any thing to protect the rear bolts? I had a lot of trouble with a skid plate I used to have because the rear bolt heads were unprotected and kept getting sheared off.

Wingnut:

We haven't have any problems with that bolt being sheared off, we use a socket, button head (hex head) bolt to fasten the rear. I'll ask a few guys if they have had the same problem. Chad Duvall hasn't said anything with regards to this but I'll check on it for you.

Also, if you're using a hex head bolt that may get shear off, I saw that on a skidplate on a bike and after installing a socket button head the problem went away. Email me your address and I'll ship you some. You can try that, no guanrantees......

Thanks for the offer. I have already gotten some of the hex head bolts, but I am also using a skid plate that has recessed bolt holes. I have not had any trouble with sheared bolts with this skid plate. Having had problems with bolts being sheared off in the past, I am not going to be comfortable when the bolts are exposed no matter how strong they are. When I'm more confident in my equipment I ride faster.

Wingnut:
I couldn't agree more, confidence is very important. It is very hard to ride with a skidplate half falling off.

Good luck with your skidplate and if I can anything for you in the future give me a call and I'll see what I can do to help you out.

If you're at the next GNCC look me up, I'd like to say hello.

Rick, I PM'd him the other day and he responded the next day. Might try that if no one can track down a number.
