400ex clutch lever fit on 250r?

i am wondering if a 400ex clutch lever will fit on a 250r. my clutch lever on my R broke today, and my brake lever is broke in 1/2, and i figured i might as well replace that too while i'm at it. the reason i want to know if i can put 400ex levers on it is becuase i want to get a set of msr levers with the grips on them, and i can only find them for the 400ex. any help is appreciated, thanks- mike

I don't know about the brake lever????? but the clutch lever should work because you can run a CR-250 perch & lever on a 400EX with out changing the cable..........you might have to use the perch & lever of the EX to get it to work......

There are basicly 2 types or styles of levers: the CR and the XR style lever. The difference is that the XR is wider by the area where the bolt passes though. The Cr is just a little bit narrower there. the bends of the lever are the same. The XR style is what came stock on the 400 and the 250R if you still have the stock perch with the brake step-up. If yopu by the XR perch the stock lever will fit in no problem. Most people say that the CR perch and lever will have an eaiser pull, but the XR will also being that it is the same. The CR lever will break easier being that the metal by the perch area is narrower compared to the XR width. All of what I have been talking about is for the clutch side. Hope that this helps.

I don't see why it wouldn't. My brake lever on my ex is from a 250r. fits perfect

ok i think i am just going to buy a msr dominator clutch bracket for a xr and but the levers with girips like that, does it matter what year of xr bracket i get? i would like to get the newest year if possable so i can get new levers easier that way. any help is appreciated-thanks mike
