Carb Question

On a very highly modified 300ex will a new carb make big difference (enough to justify paying around $400)
some of the modifications are as follows.
ported and polished,
titanium valve springs,
308 big bore,
yoshi pipe,
uni filter,
jets,
runs on race gas. also on dino makes around 28hp, so what do yall think
