250exers- what oil do ya use?

need to change the oil. bought both mobil 1 synth and non synth 10w30 oil. by accident, i got the oil with friction modifiers. so i need to buy somethin different.

what should i get ? synthetic? synth blend? 10w30? 10w40?

i use the same type in my 400 as ny girlfriends 250
SAE 10W-40 SJ
i get it from a honda dealer

can you run synthetic in the 250?

i use Honda GN4 oil in mine, that way there is no doubt

silkolene ATV 10W40 year round,no clutch slippage. i run silkolene oils throughout my bike.

I use normal valvoline 10w40. thats what the manual says.

Penzoil 10w-40 Works great i guess dont notice anything slipping im interested in the synthetic to help oiut my tranny i know that it cant be used untill your quad is broke in but i would be interested in knowing if its safe to use in a 250...

ohh i forgot do any of you know anything about a Manual Clutch kit for 250ex? ive heard of them but never seen them for sale i have a thread about it in powertrain section...info is appreciated

I run Water 40w 100 in my motor. I usually go through 2 or 3 engines everytime I start it....stfu RideRed (considering ur loud *** knocker 250 is yellow).

lol, its called gearing buddy. 20" tires and a 12T front sprocket makde you pretty slow on top end and that is where you beat me. I'll take you any day with my new gearing changes.......Oh, and my Warrior is 16 years old so stfu and I also have a 2000 Rancher which I pulled ur *** outta my creek BUNCHES of times and we just bought that new Rubicon can we have that 450S and I have 4 times the amount of mods and money you got into your little 250.

Oh man, this is great. I have a total of $1100 into it. I have paid at least half of the total amount. The other was yes, from my parents or christmas and whatnot:o .Oh yea, tomorrow my 18" turf tamers on .190 rims come in and im ordering a CEET black gripper seat cover, Nacs bar pad, Nacs numerals and #plates and SHIFT gloves from Mommy :D
