me and my friend just traded a goped for a 1986 cr 80. it ran the night before we got it and when we went to the garage to start it this morning it wouldnt start. we put a new plug in it, drained all the old gas out of it and put new gas in it mixed 32:1 and it still didnt start. we drained the gear oil and it was all white like there was water in it so then we pulled the engine and took the head off and it was f***ed up. the piston was all chewed up on top and the cylinder head was all chewed up. so im trying to find parts for it but sevice honda dosnt have parts for an 86 so i was wondering if all the cr 80 engines were the same because service honda only goes from 96 for cr 80s

your local shops and such will be able to order the parts. i had no trouble ordering parts for my 85 kx80. so you shouldn't. my kx is forsale. brand new rebuild top and bottom. needs a headgasket to run you could prob put the motor in the cr frame.

well the problem is my local dealer is way to over priced for parts and/or will take about 4 months to get them

ebay would be your best bet. you can get anything for your bike there and it will be alot cheaper than going trought your local shop

prices here for stuff for my bike always seemed fine...i dunno -shrugs- but how much do you think hes got...let me know what he will offer. thanks. :)
