(416ex)when I let off the throttle it backfires pretty bad all the time, so I was guessing it is just lean, so I checked the plug(after road riding for awhile) and its PERFECT , chocolate brown. Any ideas??My jetting-

my guess is that the lean spot is in the fuel screw circuit( idle to 1/8th.) when you check the plug, you get a reading from a different throttle position, so you get an off reading. I would turn out the air screw 1/4 turns until it stops. JMO:macho

i would try to go out on the pilot in 1/4 turn increments. i don't have a clue about dynojets needles, so i can't even tell you if your in the ball park or not.
