is it possible to do the 400ex/300ex front end conversion with just 400 shocks and move the mounts?

I don't think it would work. The a arms wouldn't have enough leverage and it would be very stiff. I'd wait and pick up some 250r/400ex a arms. You can get them real cheap these days.

y is it ithat you can't use the 400ex shocks or the 250r shocks with out moving the top schock mounts. Why won't they just bolt on.

dave macarrol is using lsr +2 300ex a-arms and 16 inch shocks with the 400ex mounting bracket. he is using 16 inch elka shocks and says it handles better than his 400ex (it has stock a-arms, axis shocks)
