My friend bought this recently, I give him a hand at the track when I can, and right now we are refreshing the engine in the shop.

LOL, If we dropped a 2 stroke shifter engine in it, it would do 75-100 mph.

a friend of mine is heavy into racing, he races out in PA, he loves it. the cool thing is you can get a race ready go kart for the price of a stock 400ex. but i like quads a lot more ;)

my cart i used to race when i was little looked exactly like that but it was red! the engine was tilted with that same exhaust but i had to run a restrictor plate on the exhaustlet but the thing still pry did about 35-40, now i just have a straight frame homade race cart with no plastics cause i broke them, but my new one will do 45 no prob. it is wicked fast

Here in Sacramento CA we have a real nice outdoor track. Allot of the carts racing are 80 -250 CC shifter carts. They do 75+mph. Just had an indoor track open too that you can race around with their carts They do around 35-40 mph on a honda motor.

If you like carts or nascar the hot set up is a car called a Baby Grand. They are like a 1/3 scale of a nascar car. Look identical as a full blown nascar but smaller. These bad boys
hall ***. My friend has been racing them for a couple years at all the big tracks. Top out around 140-150mph. Got to sit in it the other day. Very sweet Cost is around 11, 000-15, 000 ready to race. they run a 1100CC Kawi motorcycle engine up front.
