IMO no it needs alot of work unless you are looking for a project.

Depends, if it just a topend rebuild, I'd say yes (bump it up to a 416!). But if the crank/bearings were bad, I'd say no. I bet you can buy all those othe parts fairly cheap used. Why's it torn apart so bad?:confused:

i dont know. ive been looking for a 400 for a long time and i found this on cycle trader and was just looking for other opinions. Thanks guys

Did you ask them if they would trade you straight up for your KX? If they said yes, i would do that since it looks like you're only wanting $1200 for your bike. I wouldn't pay much more then $1500 for the 400 though.

$2495....No, would rather pay over $3000 for no headaches.
