I am selling my trick 400ex and im going to buy the new honda or my second choice the new yamaha. I am planning on replacing the a-arms, swingarm, and shocks. My question is who makes the best long travel a-arms for quality and reliability along with the shocks also. What LT setups seem to be the best combos? thanks

Well the best setup would have to be the Laeger T-Pin and Axis. I think the Laeger LT arms would be good too. Of course Roll and Walsh is awesome. If you like the Roll stuff, check out JRD because they are like the same, but JRD is much cheaper. Axis, PEP, Elka all make good shocks.

if i needed arms right now, i would get rpm. they look badass. i'd go with pep, tcs, or axis for shocks.

Pappy let us know how it works. Also what quad will it be on, 425?
The JRD stuff is really nice, and I also like the Laeger stuff. The Gibson XC setup looks awesome, as does the Roll.

Dang how many quads do you have now? Also I noticed you said the 450r was on order. I thought you said you would build one from the ground up before buying a new one again.

For the shocks, AXIS HANDS DOWN! As for the front end, Houser seems to be a popular choice. I have JRD's and they are sweet, but if you want the best, I am sure there will be Laeger pro-trax out for both of the new quads very soon. If not Laeger, Walsh. Those are the 2 best right there.

for shocks i say go Axis, PEP, TCS hands down. for arms go either Gibson +3s, Houser +3s, or Roll Lobo II front end. the Lobo II front end is the best in the market imo right now.

i've been using the Gibson Long Travel XC frt. on my Arens R frame. These things work great honestly. I have had Leager,Roll,LSR and Herrmann complete chassis R's and none of them handle as well as my stk replacement frame with the Gibsons on the frt. I'm using Axis shocks on mine. Feels like Axis did alot of work with Gibson!!!!! just my 2 cents!!!!!

JRD axis setup would work amazing!!!!
i am going to go with JRD +3+1 LT with elkas, i feel that if elka is all what they say they are, i can make sure that they make my shocks perform as well as axis... or else i will be droping the words up in here... but i know i can trust my canadian brothers and the products that they build!!!

Have you tried the new Laeger LT arms? If so, how do those work? Also the Gibson's are +1 right? I'm still trying to find somebody that makes stock width LT arms.

yes your right the Gibson's are +1 BUT u use 4-1 wheels and its makes up for it a little. the ride u get form 19inch shiocks is unreal though and the extra 1/2 inch of width is virtually unnoticable.....

call Matt from ECATV and ask him for specific widths he'll be able to tell u numbers!!!! if u order make sure u tell him i sent u.....

id have to say for shocks, go with axis or peps. as for elkas, i sure hope the elites r better than the regular ones. i have a buddy that bought elka long travels, and when he got them they were already blown, and thats brand new. and has since blown them at least once that i am sure of. and thats within a year. now for a arms, leager pro-trax r sweet, so r walsh and roll, but i would personally go with houser or jrd just to save.
