Does anyone have a new 04 400EX or new 03 400EX?

I have a new 03 400EX and a 03 400EX that i bought back in December.......the new one i just bought has a different airbox, it has 2 metal brackets on the front that help sturdy it up.....it also feels much faster than the one i bought in December..i think i may have gotton the new 38mm carb but i'm not sure how to tell the difference because they look the same on the outside. what do you guys think? Thanks

I have an 03':D I have had it about a week now. are you talking about the braces that have the L & R on them?

Yep.........that's them.......i wonder if they're make the late 03's the same as the 04's:huh :huh because that would be sweet if we got a 38mm carb too..:D

My 99 has those brackets and it feels faster than the 03's too. lol:D

Some are just faster then others, when i first got mine me and my buddy had the same mods couldnt even tell them apart except that his was faster.

One of my friends 03 doesnt have it, and then the other two 03's I ride with do have them! The guy who puts them on musta fell asleep! LOL

i think everyone has thoes lile metal tabs... lol

mine is one of the faster ones. stock it beats a piped and filtered jetted 400ex of the same year.
