I've got one friend that has one in her 3/4 ton truck and has never had any problems at all. she loves it. On the other hand one of my dad's buddies had one in a 1/2 ton truck and the damn thing never ran right. he got it replaced under the "lemon law".

my dads got the 2500, hemi quad cab. he is a logger so he is carryin 100+ gallons of fuel. plus the hundreds of pounds of tools. and on top of that he occasionaly hauls his john deere 450G bulldozer, with ease. GREAT TRUCK!

I picking up a 03' 1500 4x4 Quad cab with the Hemi in it. I've been driving a demo (same truck) for the past few days and so far I think it's the best full size truck for the money. I love it!
I'm trading in my 01'Dakota Quad cab that I've never had a problem with.

My friend has a 2500 that's been to shop 3 times over the transfer case leaking fluid. Bad thing is, he never has it off road. Other than that it hauls arse in a major way! :macho

I got one... An 03' quad cab, decked out with every option available. Powerful truck. My 02' Z71 would beat it in a race though and it was stock too. It rides very rough. Put a mere 300 lbs behind the rear wheels and it drops 3 or 4 inches. And gas mileage sucks. I went from 17-18 on my Z71 to 11-12 on my Hemi.

But overall I like the hemi better. I wont buy another one though.

Thats exactly right on the Dodge..ok.. thinking about either the Chevy SS or the new GMC Denali (pickup)...what do you guys think?..hmmm both have the new 6000 vortec but the SS has 4.10 gearing...the new jimmy quadrasteer...

What do those hemi's run in the quarter? Like say a 2wd 1/2 ton.

in my latest Motor Trend, the $39,995 Silverado SS ran 14.99 @ 89.05, and the $22,040 1500 Ram ran a 15.11 @ 89.06!

I'd take the Ram:devil:

Thats why i went cummins. Better gas mileage. In CA the cummins is a different motor than where you guys live the HO cummins rocks. ;) CA has all the clean air chit

Mike check that 6.0 L vortec. The mileage will suck on that also. My buddy has one.

Not bad for a $22,000 dollar truck. MY f150 ran 15.6 when it was fairly new which isnt bad but the new 04 f-150 have the 4v 5.4L in them now, wonder what they will run.

Looks like the SS has a way to go to catch up with the lightning.

The fast truck market is starting to look like the fast quad market.
