i am getting ready to install a stage 2 hotcam...does this cam drastically reduce the bottom end? anybody run one that has an opinion on this? i feel the 400ex has enough bottom end, that i will not notice it that much. i do alot of trail riding, and some open area riding. i am also installing a standard bore wiseco high compression piston. what kind of gains can i expect? i have a ct slip on and k&n fliter already on. maybe this will wake up my quad and finally beat my cousins z400? thanks for any input...

stage II is a mid to top cam you really won't notice a bottom end less but it tends to bog quicker and doesn't like to be lugged, but if you keep your rpms up she'll run like a mofo

I just did these mods and she runs pretty strong now. The cam didn't take that much bottom end, but ugly is right, it will bog easy if in a very low idle and gunned. It should be plenty to beat a Z. I'm still trying to dial mine in though.
