beeen reading alot about these hiper carbon fiber dual beadlocks lately and was wondering if any other companies made dual beadlocks. locks on both sides makes sence to me but i cant figure out why other companies would make single sided beadlocks, doesnt seem like they would do any good. if anyone can clue me in the the point of single beads let me know. :confused2
THANKS

There is not as much pressure during "roll up" on the inside of the tire/rim.inner and outer beadlocks are nice but not for every one. Most people"like me" can make do on outer locks.

So single beadlocks are good enough for most hermaphrodites? Interesting.

think about it....when making a turn say to the right....

you will have the force of the quad on the back left tire pushing out (thats when beadlocks come in) your only leaning on one side of the quad, the tire does not pull from the inside of the rim....

the other tire on the other side of the quad doesnt have barley any pull on it becasue all the quads force and your weight is on the other side....

got it?

i like the idea of carbon fiber because they flex unlike aluminum. i ride i really rough trails. are hipers goin to hold up against the tough stuff.?

Carbon fiber wheels also shatter. I guess when they say Chris Borich and all those other pros tested them, they didnt overshoot any tabletops. My friend Rocky shattered an 8" Hi-Per beadlock, the ones w/ the integrated hub. The black part of the rim broke all the way around the circumference of where the hub bolts onto. I'll try and get pics if he brings his wheel this weekend.

Nothing is unbreakable in this sport......I have had to throw away several alum. beadlocks due to flat spots. No problems with Hipers in the last year for me!!!!

yes but an advantage hiper has over the competition is that their beadlocks are modular. that means if u break a piece or two of their wheel you can replace it easily. that way u dont have to spend tons of money buyin more rims u can just buy whatever piece u need

I can't really see advantage with dual bead locks. I never seen the inside bead come off., Plus the extra weight, more parts, that could loosen or break. Plus bead lock doesn't hold air as well or are hard to seat the tire so it does hold air, now you would be doubling the problem. To me dual bead locks seam like it wouldn't with it. Plus i would think the extra beadlock would cost a good a mount more.
