Hello- Im in the process of rebulding my 250x and im wondering how i can tell if the cylinder has been bored out or not? How can I tell how much it was bored over, if so?
The piston in there now has 0.50 mm written on it-i dont know if this is anything.
thanks
Will

I am not certain, but I believe that .50mm means .50mm overbore from stock. I used a bore guage on my warrior to check the bore size when I rebuilt it. Take your cylinder to a local mechanic, I am sure they will have one.

thanks a lot swamprider
Also, anyone know how much the cylinder can be bored out before becoming too thin to be used?
anyone else have any ideas?
thanks

More important than wall thickness is the question, how many oversized pistons can I get?

It may be possible to overbore it 0.140 over without busting through the wall, but if you can only find a piston for 0.120 over, then that is your limit.:ermm:
