Does this sound right? (only for people that KNOW their r's!)

Ok my bike isnt runnin right, when its cool, but wormed up like 5 miutes of ridding I can hold it pinned and it doesnt cut out just stops pulling (does what it should) but once I ride for a little longer it does cut out. I put a new stock cdi on it and it helped, but I think its my carb.:ermm:


I called UPPracing and they know there stuff! And he said DONT buy a new cdi cause they have a LRD 330 with all the stuff and hes runnin a stock cdi and he said I should be able to too... so I called LRD and they tld me what my jettin should be, needle 4th clip from top (it was on the top), pilot jet 52 (which was a 60) and main jet a 172 (it was at 182). Im going to try a 178 cause I dont think its too rich. Im at about 500ft so does this jetting sound right? Ill try and work my way down.... if neccesary.


So my question is would my pilot jet and that stuff cause this?


I have a niks 330 with 350 crank, LRD Big bore Pipe, and Keihin 39PWK....

Any help is GREATLY appritated, I try and get those carb settings today and get back to ya!

With todays newer oils and people using lighter oil/gas ratio's it is normal not to see it smoke while riding . Use Klotz it smells soooooo good.:D

Is taco serious??? ive never seen a two stroke that didn't smoke. and does koltz really smell good? sorry i don't own a two stroke never even ridden one.

Ya all two stroke should smoke a wee bit!IMO:ermm: Better to be safe than sorry! I mean pros can afford a new top end so they run them on the edge and stuff with me I dont need PEAK power so a little smoke NEVER hert anything!:cool:

I'd like to help but I don't understand what you are saying:confused: Are you saying it cuts out at the bottom when warm?

Anyway your stock cdi will work with the 330 if it was working properly before.

It cut out on top end when warm! But I finaly did it it runs AWSOME!!!!!! I have a 52 pilot needle 2nd from bottom and 182 main! she is quite the rocket! I hope it stays like this!:D *fingers crossed!*

Are you running the DDJ needle??
Make sure you are, it gives the motor grunt. 4th clip from the top!!! Also air screw out 1.5 turns. Do try the 172 main with these specs, remeber this is jetting for MX not desert, so don't hold it open for ever.
I had a LRD 330.

I am running an ESR 330 w/an ESR 40.5 carb w/a 180 main, 50 pilot, and the clip 2cd from the bottom. It also has the ESR 2000 reed assembly, ESR 5 centermount pipe, ESR head w/race gas dome and a k&n filter, this thing rips!!

Im running a keihin needle I think (its the one that came with the carb) um, its 2nd from the bottom, main i dunno yet.....:( and Pilot a 52.



Its not running good still.
