I would highly reccomend this cam, just put one in along with the xr400 headgasket and removed the choke assy. bottom end power still good while mid range and top end are awsome

I think very little (haven't got my jetting quite right yet) still feels good on low end (yes stock piston)
IS this the $300 HRC cam?????

The HRC Cam is the bomb. :muscle: Put a higher compression piston in it also and you will like it even more . :bandit:

The HRC cam is junk it is a waste of money and over priced too..... The hot cam is so much better and less money, just ask anyone with a clue,

just finished changing the pilot jet to a 42 and rejetted to a 165, seems to have cleared up the rough run at low speeds and does it ever rip in mid range. nice increase. this weekend I will install the xr400 blackbox (have been told this works good too) and if we get some rain will be able to really try it out. (ripping up and down the block on pavement just does not cut it) pulls nice wheelies though. we have a off road ban on here right now because of the major forest fires. WE NEED RAIN!!!!!

No you don't need hard faced rockers or new valve springs..its purely a drop in cam...its the race cam for the xr400...we put xr400 cams in our quads...so you know the HRC is good;)
