He is talking about putting a picture of a quad in his computer program called photo shop and changing the color of stuff on the quad to see what it would look like if you actually went and did that. For example he can take your stock gray frame in the pic and turn it pink, in case you were considering it but wanted to see what it looks like first. I would stay away from the pink though:D
