1991 honda 250x Electirc Start Kit

Hi everyone,

My brother was recently badly burned and can no longer kickstart his 250x. i am trying to find an electric start kit for it. Thanks!!

don't think it's possible man...TC racing would know for sure..

First, I think this is in the wrong section, it should probably go in the "powertrain" section.

Second, I have never seen an electric start kit for the 250X, but I HAVE seen them for the 350X. And, it is possible to do a conversion to put the 350X engine into the 250X frame.

Talon posting the same question is gettin ya know were...please leave it in the powertrain section..;)

no ones giving you crap, they are just saying that if you post the same thing multiple times your not really accomplishing much. Its sad to hear bout your bro, and i know i feel bad, id hate to be not able to ride.

GOKI makes good products like sickmojave said. Try them. Just curious but what do you ride? Maybe your bro could ride yours and at least be able to ride with ya. At a last resort sell the 250x and buy a 300ex I think the resemblence is striking;)

he can ride but not kickstart it?:confused: Also maybe you could start it for him and then let him on and ride. I think his best bet is to sell it and get a new quad with electric start. sorry to hear about him :(

i ride a 91 250x. it has a full performance top end, cam, piston and everything. dg pipe with all rings, dg bumper nerf bars, grab bar. renthal handlebars, scott hurricane grips (the best in my opinion) headlight cover, its a kickstart because i like them more. custom mounted rear tail light. ujni air filter and modified air box. its also jetted to how i like it. bandit xc's all around, douglas aluminum rims( idd rather have those trick balck cabon fibr ones) and thats about it. thanks for everybodies help

yeah i've seen a couple of kits to make them electric start...look in the back of dirtwheels magizine..i think they were about $350

you cant do it on a 250x but i have a 300ex that has the kick starter setup from a 250x and still has the electric starter it was alot of work i did look into putting electric start on the 250x but it was more work and money than its worth you would need all the parts from a doner 300ex plus all the wiring harness sorry about your brother and goodluck with your search chuck
